Steve Bannon Recaps His Trial, Torches Media

On Tuesday, Former Trump Chief Strategist and Campaign Manager spoke with the media after the second day of his contempt of congress trial and ripped the media for their bias in its coverage.

Bannon told the attendant crowd of reporters and supporters, “I challenge Benny Thompson [House select committee Chairman Bennie Thompson, today to have the courage to come to this courthouse. If he is going to challenge somebody with a crime he’s got to be man enough to show up here or send somebody like Shifty Schiff or Fang-Fang Swalwell. Or Liz Cheney. Send somebody on the committee who has the guts to come here and accuse somebody of a crime!”

Bannon is in a trial for contempt of congress. In the prosecutor’s opening statement Amanda Vaugh said that Bannon defied a government order and told the jury that “the defendant showed his contempt for the US Congress, US government, and that he’s guilty.” He “prevented the government from getting the important info it needed from him.”

“Because it was a subpoena, Congress was entitled to the information it sought. It wasn’t optional. It wasn’t a request. It wasn’t an invitation. It was mandatory,” Vaugh continued.

Bannon tried to subpoena several House members to testify, but the judge barred it. There is a possibility that the judge could allow this depending on how the prosecution proceeds.

The Justice Department’s first witness, Kristin Amerling, spoke on Bannon’s charges and was asked if he produced the records demanded by subpoena on October 7.

“He did not,” Kristin Amerling said.

She was asked if Bannon appeared for his testimony on October 14.

“He did not,” Amerling said, again.

The verdict may come before House Select Committee’s trial scheduled for Thursday.

He was subpoenaed by the J6 panel in September of last year and Congress voted to hold him in contempt for defying the subpoena. The Justice Department then charged Bannon with two counts of criminal contempt.

GOP Rep Clashes With Pete Buttigieg On Biden’s Mental Health

This is just another show trial from the radical left in it’s mission to wipe the Trump administration off of the map. They don’t want anyone from those years to be left standing coming into 2024 because their chosen President is failing so hard in the polls. Do you think Bannon is innocent? let us know in the comments.
