Fired CNN host Brian Stelter is heading back to college.
According to a press release by Harvard University, Stelter was picked up by the school’s Shorenstein Center on Media, Politics and Public Policy as a Walter Shorenstein Media and Democracy Fellow for the Fall 2022 semester.
The press release states, “The Walter Shorenstein Media and Democracy Fellowship brings high-profile figures at the forefront of media, politics and public policy to Harvard’s Kennedy School to work with students, faculty, scholars and the public on important issues of the moment. As the Walter Shorenstein Fellow, Stelter will convene a series of discussions about threats to democracy and the range of potential responses from the news media.”
The press release describes Stelter as a “nationally recognized media reporter and expert on the state of journalism and its wide-reaching implications for society and governance.”
As a result, Twitter users pointed out the alarming relationship between the media and education in our country.
Matt Walsh wrote on Twitter, “Brian Stelter goes right from CNN to Harvard. Jen Psaki goes from the White House to NBC. Karine Jean Pierre goes from NBC to the White House. The Academia-Media-Government human centipede crawls along.”
Jesse Kelly tweeted, “Part of living in a late-stage republic is you don’t really have access to “experts” anymore because your society doesn’t produce them. The people handing out the credentials are as stupid and useless as the ones they’re handing them to. Brian Stelter is perfect for 2022 Harvard”
David Hookstead said, “It cost students nearly $80,000 a year to attend Harvard, and for that price, you can now listen to Brian Stelter lecture you about threats to democracy. It’s time for parents to start asking for refunds.”
Lavern Spicer said, “Harvard giving Brian Stelter a job tells you all you need to know about whether you should send your child there or not.”
And Brent Bozwell tweeted, “There’s always a home for fired leftists at universities like Harvard, where ideology matters more than truth.”
As we previously reported, Brian Stelter was the second casualty of CNN after the network was taken over by Chris Licht earlier this year. Additionally, it has been reported that Licht told staffers a couple of weeks ago that more changes are coming to CNN in an apparent effort to make the network more moderate.
