Liberal California Governor Gavin Newsom is setting the record straight about his intentions for the 2024 Presidential election.
According to the Washington Examiner, a moderator asked Newsom whether he would run for president in 2024 or 2028, and the governor said no. It should be noted that President Joe Biden’s plans were not contingent upon the moderator’s questioning.
Amid whispers of unease about Biden, some in the party have considered the California governor a possible presidential candidate in 2024 if Biden does not run.
However, as we reported last week, Biden repeated his intention to run for a second term.
