**Special Graduation: Service Dog Receives Diploma Alongside Owner**
In a remarkable display of dedication and achievement, a service dog named Justin received his “dogree” alongside his human companion, Grace Mariani. As Mariani graduated from Seton Hall University, the audience witnessed the heartwarming moment when the canine, dressed in school gear, accepted his well-deserved honor.
Justin, a six-year-old Labrador-golden retriever mix, has been Grace Mariani’s faithful service dog throughout her time at Seton Hall University. Mariani, who uses a motorized wheelchair, has had Justin by her side as she worked diligently to earn her Bachelor of Science degree in Education. Recently, their academic journey culminated in a touching moment when the pair crossed the stage at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
Proud canine Justin, clad in a “Canine Companions” harness and a bandana bearing his name, escorted Mariani as she received her diploma. Seton Hall University President Dr. Joseph E. Nyre joined in the celebration, leaning down to let Justin sniff the ribbon-tied diploma tube. With his owner’s approval, the dog took the document gently in his mouth while the crowd erupted in cheers.
This achievement was shared by Seton Hall University, with their video garnering over 91,000 views on YouTube. The university acknowledged Justin’s attendance at every single one
