A damaging video has resurfaced showing Minneapolis Democratic Mayor Jacob Frey dancing with a Somali flag while wearing an "I Love Somalia" t-shirt, sparking outrage as his city faces multibillion-dollar welfare fraud cases linked to the Somali community.

The footage, which has gone viral on social media, shows Frey performing traditional Somali dances and speaking in the Somali language to residents. The timing could not be worse for the embattled mayor, as Minneapolis and Minnesota struggle with massive welfare fraud schemes that have cost taxpayers billions.

Social media users have expressed frustration with the state's leadership priorities. Twitter user @Chris_1791 shared the video, highlighting the concerning optics of Frey's Somalia celebration amid the ongoing fraud crisis.

The backlash intensified as another user, @Innovate1959, raised pointed questions about Minnesota's leadership: "Senator, Omar Fateh - From Somalia, Congresswoman, Ilhan Omar - From Somalia, Governor, Tim Walz - From West Port Nebraska, Minneapolis Mayor, Jacob Frey - Arlington County Virginia. Why the hell can't Minnesota elect Minnesotans to run Minnesota?"

Additional footage emerged showing Frey speaking Somali to his constituents, with @bulllaw posting: "LOL: Footage is resurfacing of Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey speaking SOMALIAN to his residents."

Welfare Fraud Crisis Continues

The resurfaced video comes as federal investigators continue to uncover widespread welfare fraud schemes in Minnesota, with many cases involving members of the Somali community. The fraud has cost Minnesota taxpayers billions of dollars, money that should have gone to legitimate social programs for American citizens and legal immigrants.

Critics argue that Frey's apparent prioritization of Somalia over Minneapolis residents' needs reflects a broader problem with Democratic leadership that puts foreign interests ahead of American citizens. The mayor's office has not responded to requests for comment about the resurfaced footage.

As President Trump works to restore America-first policies at the federal level, voters are increasingly questioning whether local Democratic leaders like Frey share those priorities or remain focused on pandering to specific ethnic communities at the expense of broader public interests.

This is what happens when politicians care more about optics than accountability. Shameful.

Absolutely tone deaf! While taxpayers are getting robbed blind, he's out there celebrating. This is exactly what's wrong with our leadership today.

Couldn't agree more. We need leaders who prioritize American citizens first.

Can someone explain how this guy keeps getting elected? Are the people of Minneapolis paying attention to what's happening with their tax dollars?

The timing couldn't be worse! How do you dance around in that shirt while your city is dealing with massive fraud? Shows where his loyalties really lie.

Exactly. Actions speak louder than words and this says everything we need to know.

I live here and the welfare fraud has been going on for YEARS. Everyone knows about it but nobody wants to talk about it because it's not politically correct.

How much money are we talking about? The media barely covers these scandals.

Thank you for speaking up! We need more locals willing to tell the truth about what's happening in their communities.

My family has lived in Minnesota for three generations and we've never seen anything like this. The priorities are completely backwards - more concern for virtue signaling than actually governing.

Dancing while Rome burns. Classic liberal leadership right there.
