Delaware police are investigating the death of Linda Stevenson, 64, who was found unresponsive Sunday night at the Wilmington home of Bill Stevenson, the ex-husband of former First Lady Jill Biden.

Officers with the New Castle County Police Department responded to a domestic dispute call around 11:16 p.m. and discovered Mrs. Stevenson in the living room of the residence. Despite immediate life-saving measures administered by responding officers, she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The incident has drawn attention across social media platforms, with news outlets and local scanner accounts reporting the developing story. Fox 5 DC tweeted that "Police in Delaware are investigating the death of a 64-year-old woman who was found unresponsive during a domestic dispute call on Sunday."

Similarly, the Corridor Scanner account shared details of the investigation, noting that "when officers arrived" at the Wilmington residence, they found the victim in critical condition.

Connection to Biden Family Raises Questions

Bill Stevenson was married to Jill Biden from 1970 to 1975, before her marriage to then-Senator Joe Biden. Stevenson has previously made public statements about his relationship with the former First Lady and the circumstances surrounding their divorce.

According to reports, Stevenson had described his late wife Linda as "the greatest thing in my life," highlighting the tragic nature of Sunday's events.

The Criminal Investigations Unit of the New Castle County Police Department has taken over the case, though details about the circumstances leading to the domestic dispute call remain under investigation.

This developing story comes as the Biden family continues to face scrutiny over various personal and political matters, even after leaving the White House following President Trump's decisive 2024 victory.

Authorities have not released additional details about potential suspects or the specific cause of death, pending the ongoing investigation.

Wondering if mainstream media will even cover this story properly. They seem to have selective reporting when it comes to stories that might reflect poorly on this administration's inner circle.

This is absolutely tragic. My heart goes out to the family involved - domestic violence is never acceptable regardless of politics.

Agreed. We need to separate human tragedy from political differences.

Domestic violence destroys families and communities. As someone who works with DV survivors, this hits close to home.
