In a breathtaking display of political hypocrisy, Senator Bernie Sanders (I-VT) is now criticizing President Trump's decisive military action against Venezuela's Nicolas Maduro while simultaneously calling the socialist leader a "dictator"—marking a complete reversal from Sanders' previous coddling of leftist authoritarian regimes.

The Vermont socialist, who spent years making excuses for socialist dictatorships from Venezuela to Cuba, is now clutching his pearls over Trump's bold move to restore democracy in America's backyard. Sanders called Trump's actions "Orwellian" and "rank imperialism," conveniently forgetting his own track record of defending these very same regimes when it was politically convenient.

Social media erupted over Sanders' stunning flip-flop. Twitter user @BlueIceAngels highlighted the international response, noting that "Switzerland announced Maduro's assets and money is seized by (Switzerland) and the money will be redistributed to Venezuelan citizens!" while pointing out that "Bernie Sanders says what Trump has done is Orwellian."

"The democratic way is to make coalition against Venezuela with US Congress involvement. The US Congress did not approve military intervention in Libya in 2011," posted @KapkinaLuda, referencing Sanders' ballistic reaction to Trump capturing Maduro.

This is the same Bernie Sanders who praised Cuba's literacy programs, defended Venezuela's socialist revolution, and consistently opposed American intervention against leftist dictators worldwide. Now that Trump is actually delivering results and freeing oppressed people from socialist tyranny, suddenly Sanders discovers his opposition to dictatorship?

Patriots aren't buying Sanders' convenient conversion. For decades, he's been an apologist for socialist strongmen, but the moment a Republican president takes decisive action to liberate people from the very regimes Sanders once defended, he cries "imperialism."

Meanwhile, Switzerland is seizing Maduro's assets to return money to the Venezuelan people—exactly the kind of accountability Trump's strong leadership makes possible. But instead of celebrating freedom for millions of Venezuelans, Sanders would rather attack Trump than admit his socialist heroes were brutal dictators all along.

When will Americans finally see through the left's selective outrage and recognize that Trump's America First foreign policy actually delivers freedom to oppressed peoples worldwide?

As someone who fled Venezuela in 2017, it breaks my heart to see Bernie defend that monster Maduro. My family lost everything because of socialism - our business, our home, our future. Trump understood what we were going through.

God bless you and your family. This is exactly why we can't let socialism take root here.

This is why the 2024 election matters so much. We cannot afford to have socialist sympathizers influencing foreign policy again.

Finally someone calling out Bernie's hypocrisy! He's been defending these socialist regimes for decades while Americans suffer under his radical policies.

Exactly! And the mainstream media will never cover this angle.

What specific actions did Trump take regarding Venezuela that Bernie opposed? I want to have the facts when I discuss this with my liberal friends.
