The swamp strikes again. In a 52-47 vote that reeks of Deep State sabotage, the U.S. Senate advanced a dangerous resolution Thursday that would require President Trump to beg Congress for permission before taking military action against the socialist dictatorship in Venezuela.
Every single Democrat voted for S.J. Res. 98, sponsored by Virginia's Tim Kaine - the same Tim Kaine who was Hillary Clinton's running mate and has never met a restriction on presidential power he didn't love when a Republican is in the White House.
But here's what should infuriate every patriot: FIVE Republicans stabbed Trump in the back by joining this constitutional coup attempt. The RINO Hall of Shame includes usual suspects Susan Collins, Lisa Murkowski, and surprisingly, Rand Paul, Josh Hawley, and Todd Young.
Democrats and RINOs Team Up Against America First
Social media erupted as news of the betrayal spread. Twitter user @BobDinMI exposed the full scope of the swamp coalition: "All you need to know: The legislation, led by Sen. Tim Kaine, D-Va., was co-sponsored by Sen. Rand Paul, R-Ky., Sen. Adam Schiff, D-Calif., and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer, D-N.Y."
That's right, folks - Adam Schiff, the same lying pencil-neck who pushed the Russia hoax for years, is now trying to tie Trump's hands while Venezuelan dictator Nicolás Maduro oppresses his people and threatens American interests.
As @Breaking_Battle noted on social media, this "would mark the first time during the second Trump administration" that Congress has moved to restrict presidential war powers - and it's happening just weeks after Trump's inauguration.
Constitutional Crisis or Necessary Check?
While some may argue this is about constitutional balance, the timing tells the real story. Where were these same senators when Obama was dropping bombs across the Middle East without congressional approval? Where was Tim Kaine when Biden botched the Afghanistan withdrawal?
This isn't about the Constitution - it's about kneecapping a president who actually puts America First and isn't afraid to confront socialist dictators in our own hemisphere.
The question every American should be asking: Why are Republicans helping Democrats protect a regime that could threaten our national security? And why now, when Trump finally has the mandate to drain the swamp once and for all?
