A Democrat Senate candidate from Maine is facing brutal mockery online after claiming that "dismantling ICE" represents a "moderate position" in the wake of a shooting incident involving an Immigration and Customs Enforcement agent in Minneapolis.
Graham Platner, who's apparently delusional enough to think he can win a Senate seat in 2026, made the shocking statement after an ICE agent shot and killed a Minneapolis woman during an operation. But instead of waiting for facts, Platner immediately launched into a radical anti-law enforcement tirade that would make AOC proud.
"When you send armed, under-trained amateurs into American communities with vague orders and no accountability, this is inevitable. ICE must be dismantled," Platner declared, according to social media posts that quickly went viral.

The backlash was swift and merciless. Conservative commentator Jesse pointed out the obvious flaw in Platner's logic, noting that polling from The New York Times, Siena Research, Harvard, and Harris Poll all show a majority of Americans actually SUPPORT President Trump's mass deportation efforts.
"According to polling from @nytimes/@SienaResearch & @Harvard/@HarrisPoll, a majority of Americans support President Trump's efforts to carry out mass deportations of illegal aliens. So no, 'dismantling ICE' is not a 'moderate position,'" Jesse tweeted.
But the radical left doubled down on crazy. One unhinged user @Kerryist04 actually called ICE agents "Gestapo THUGS" and demanded "New Nuremberg trials" for every ICE officer. This is the modern Democrat Party, folks - comparing American law enforcement to Nazi war criminals.
Here's reality: President Trump just won a decisive victory partly because Americans are FED UP with open borders and want our immigration laws enforced. ICE agents risk their lives daily to protect our communities from dangerous criminals and drug dealers.
Platner's comments perfectly encapsulate how out-of-touch Democrats have become. While Trump's ICE is preparing to carry out the largest deportation operation in American history - with massive public support - this Maine Democrat thinks abolishing immigration enforcement is "moderate."
Good luck with that campaign strategy, Graham. Maybe try running in San Francisco instead?
