Just two weeks into his second term, President Donald Trump is facing intense pressure from Washington's defense establishment to abandon the America First foreign policy that got him elected—twice.

According to reports from the Washington swamp, defense hawks are gaining the upper hand in what sources describe as an internal "tug-of-war" over Trump's foreign policy direction. These same establishment warmongers who opposed Trump in 2016 and 2020 are now attempting to drag him into endless overseas conflicts that benefit the military-industrial complex at the expense of American taxpayers.

The concerning development comes as Trump has shown what critics call "on-and-off commitment" to continuing the Biden regime's disastrous Ukraine money pit—a conflict that has already drained hundreds of billions from American coffers while our own border remains wide open.

Patriots who voted for Trump expected him to end foreign wars, not expand them. His campaign promise of "America First, not America Last" resonated with millions of Americans tired of seeing their tax dollars fund proxy wars while American cities crumble and veterans sleep on the streets.

Swamp Creatures Strike Back

This isn't surprising to anyone who's watched how the deep state operates. The same military contractors and Pentagon bureaucrats who got rich off 20 years of failure in Afghanistan are now salivating over potential new conflicts to fund their lavish lifestyles.

These defense hawks don't care about American families struggling with inflation or communities devastated by the border invasion. They care about one thing: keeping the war machine profitable.

The question every patriot should be asking is simple: Will Trump stick to his America First principles, or will he cave to the same swamp creatures who've been undermining him since day one?

Americans didn't vote for more endless wars. They voted for secure borders, economic prosperity, and a foreign policy that puts American interests first—not the interests of defense contractors and globalist think tanks.

It's time for Trump to remember who elected him and what they expect: America First, period.

My son is in the military and I'm tired of wondering if he'll be deployed to some conflict that has nothing to do with defending America. We need leaders who actually care about our troops, not defense contractors' profits.

Trump needs to clean house on day one. Fire every single Obama and Biden holdover in State and Defense.

Schedule F can't come fast enough! These bureaucrats work for US, not the other way around.

I've been watching this pattern for decades - doesn't matter if it's Bush, Obama, or Trump in office, the same foreign policy establishment always tries to maintain their grip on power. How do we actually drain this swamp once and for all?

This is exactly what we voted AGAINST in 2016 and 2024! The swamp creatures never learn - they think they know better than the American people who elected Trump to END these endless wars.

Couldn't agree more. Lost too many good friends overseas for what exactly? Time to put America first for once.
