DEMOCRATS GIVE CHINA PLAYBOOK: Venezuela Action Could 'Justify' Taiwan Invasion, Lawmakers Warn

Just days into President Trump's second term, Democrats are already doing China's bidding by suggesting any U.S. military action in Venezuela could give the Chinese Communist Party a green light to invade Taiwan. The shameful display has Patriots questioning whose side these lawmakers are really on.

Rep. Gregory Meeks, the ranking Democrat on the House Foreign Affairs Committee, warned that China would seize on U.S. intervention in Venezuela to justify their own aggressive moves against Taiwan. Instead of standing behind American strength, Meeks is essentially coaching our greatest adversary on how to spin their next act of aggression.

The debate comes as the Trump administration considers all options to restore democracy in Venezuela and counter the Maduro regime's destabilizing influence in our hemisphere. But rather than supporting American leadership, Democrats are wringing their hands over how China might react.

Patriots on social media aren't buying this defeatist messaging. One frustrated American posted on X: "TYING THE HANDS OF ANY COMMANDER IN CHIEF IS ANTI-COUNTRY, NOT ONLY ANTI-AMERICAN. WHY? BECAUSE YOU ARE DOING THE WORK OF CHINA, CUBA, VENEZUELA THE ENEMY. WHO NEEDS ENEMIES ABROAD WHEN THEY ALREADY ARE IN THE SENATE, CONGRESS, AND POLITICAL PARTIES UNDER A DEMOCRACY."

This user nailed it – when lawmakers spend more time worrying about China's propaganda opportunities than defending American interests, they're doing the enemy's work for them.

The comparison between Venezuela and Taiwan is fundamentally flawed and dangerous. Venezuela sits in America's backyard, where the Monroe Doctrine has guided U.S. policy for over 200 years. Taiwan, meanwhile, is a democratic ally facing existential threats from an expansionist communist regime.

By drawing these parallels, Democrats aren't just showing weakness – they're providing China with ready-made talking points. Beijing is undoubtedly taking notes as American lawmakers volunteer reasons why Chinese aggression might be "understandable."

President Trump built his first term on the principle of peace through strength. Now, as he confronts threats from Venezuela to the South China Sea, will Democrats continue undermining American resolve, or will they finally put America First?

Why are we even discussing Venezuela when we should be laser-focused on deterring China? Taiwan produces 90% of the world's advanced semiconductors - losing them to China would be catastrophic for our economy and national security.

This is exactly what I've been warning about for months! Every time we take military action abroad, China takes notes and builds their justification playbook. The Dems are so focused on virtue signaling they can't see they're handing Xi Jinping propaganda on a silver platter.

You're absolutely right. China has been looking for any excuse to move on Taiwan and our inconsistent foreign policy is giving them exactly what they need.
