What's telling about this crop of comeback candidates is that most didn't leave Congress on their own terms. They were either voted out by fed-up constituents, caught up in scandals, or simply became so ineffective that even their own parties wanted them gone.
This is exactly the kind of establishment recycling that President Trump's America First movement was designed to stop. While Trump is busy draining the swamp and implementing real reforms with his stellar cabinet picks like Marco Rubio and Pete Hegseth, these political dinosaurs think they can just waltz back into power.
"The American people have spoken loud and clear - we want fresh leadership, not the same failed politicians who helped create the mess we're still cleaning up," said one GOP strategist.
These comeback attempts represent everything wrong with the political establishment. Instead of accepting that voters rejected their failed policies and moving on, these career politicians are clinging to power like barnacles on a ship.
