Just two weeks into President Trump's second term, radical New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani is already launching attacks on federal immigration enforcement, calling an ICE agent a "murderer" following a shooting incident in Minnesota and promising to obstruct deportation operations in the Big Apple.
Mamdani's inflammatory rhetoric came after an Immigration and Customs Enforcement officer fatally shot Renee Good during an operation in Minnesota on Wednesday. Without waiting for a full investigation, the far-left mayor immediately rushed to judgment against the federal agent.
"I think we can all see that video and come to our own conclusions that that ICE agent murdered a woman in Minneapolis," Mamdani declared, showing his complete disregard for due process when it comes to law enforcement officers doing their jobs.
But Mamdani didn't stop there. The radical mayor went on to characterize the incident as a "glimpse" into what he called a year of "cruelty" under the Trump administration's renewed commitment to enforcing immigration law. This is the same tired playbook Democrats used during Trump's first term – demonize anyone who dares to enforce the laws Congress passed.
"We are not here to assist ICE agents in their work," Mamdani announced on social media, making it crystal clear that New York City will be a sanctuary for illegal immigrants regardless of federal law.
When Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem suggested the agent was following proper training, Mamdani doubled down on his attacks, questioning the entire training program for ICE agents. "If That Is 'Following His Training,' Then I Think There Are Larger Questions About the Training That's Being Provided to ICE Agents," he posted on social media.
This is exactly the kind of obstruction patriots knew was coming. While President Trump works to secure our borders and remove dangerous criminals who entered our country illegally, radical Democrat mayors like Mamdani are more interested in protecting illegal immigrants than keeping American citizens safe.
How long will New Yorkers tolerate a mayor who puts the interests of illegal aliens above the safety of his own constituents and the rule of law?
