Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison is desperately trying to shift blame for his state's massive fraud crisis, now claiming Republicans aren't doing enough to help—despite Democrats controlling Minnesota's government for years.
During Friday's appearance on CNN's "The Source," Ellison praised federal authorities for their work on the massive Feeding Our Future fraud case but immediately pivoted to attack Republicans in the Minnesota legislature. The Democrat AG suggested GOP lawmakers weren't pulling their weight in fraud prevention efforts.
But here's what Ellison conveniently forgot to mention: Democrats have controlled Minnesota's governorship, attorney general's office, and legislative majorities. If there's a fraud problem in Minnesota, it happened on THEIR watch, not the Republicans'.
Classic Democrat Playbook: Blame Others
This is the same tired playbook we've seen from Democrats for decades. When their policies fail, when crime surges, when fraud runs rampant—suddenly it's everyone else's fault. Ellison wants credit for federal cooperation but won't take responsibility for the systemic failures that allowed these fraud schemes to flourish in the first place.
The Feeding Our Future case involved a staggering $250 million fraud scheme that exploited pandemic food programs meant to feed children. Under Ellison's watch, criminals were allegedly able to game the system for months while Democrats focused on their woke agenda instead of protecting taxpayer dollars.
"It's rich that Keith Ellison is now calling for Republican help after Democrats created this mess through their own incompetence and soft-on-crime policies," said one Minnesota GOP source.
Patriots in Minnesota deserve better than finger-pointing and blame games. They deserve an attorney general who takes responsibility for protecting their tax dollars instead of making excuses on CNN.
With Trump back in the White House, Americans can expect real accountability and genuine fraud prevention—not the political theater Democrats like Ellison specialize in. The question is: will Minnesota voters finally hold their failed Democrat leaders accountable?
