State Delegate Adrian Boafo, a Democrat representing District 23 in Prince George's County, has introduced what he cynically calls the "ICE Breaker Act of 2026"—a bill specifically targeting sworn ICE officers who joined the agency during Trump's second term.
According to reports from WMAR-2 Baltimore News, this vindictive legislation would prevent these dedicated immigration enforcement professionals from ever becoming police officers in Maryland, regardless of their qualifications or service record.
"Del. Adrian Boafo, a Democrat from Bowie, introduced the bill to ban any ICE agent sworn in since the start of President Trump's second term from working for MSP," reported WUSA9.
Think about the pure malice behind this move. These are Americans who answered the call to serve their country by enforcing immigration law—exactly what voters demanded when they decisively re-elected President Trump. Now Maryland Democrats want to punish them for doing their patriotic duty.
