It's finally happening, Patriots. The Trump administration is done playing games with sanctuary cities that openly defy federal immigration law, and Minneapolis just got a reality check they won't soon forget.
Kelly Loeffler, administrator of the Small Business Administration (SBA), dropped the hammer Saturday by ordering the agency's Minneapolis branch to immediately relocate due to what she called "overwhelming local hostility toward Immigration and Customs Enforcement."
Translation? Minneapolis chose to coddle illegal aliens over cooperating with federal law enforcement, so now they lose federal services. Actions meet consequences.
No More Free Rides for Sanctuary Cities
The Minneapolis SBA office is packing up and heading to a location that actually "complies with federal law and takes seriously their responsibility to promote public safety on Main Street," according to Loeffler's announcement.
This is exactly what America voted for in November. President Trump promised to crack down on sanctuary jurisdictions that harbor criminal aliens, and his administration is delivering in spades. Why should law-abiding taxpayers fund federal services in cities that actively obstruct immigration enforcement?
"We're not going to reward cities that put politics over public safety," a senior administration official told reporters. "If Minneapolis wants to play sanctuary games, they can do it without federal resources."
Minneapolis has been a poster child for radical left governance, from the George Floyd riots that burned down half the city to their continued coddling of criminal aliens. Now they're learning that elections have consequences, and Trump's America First agenda means federal agencies won't be forced to operate in hostile territory.
Just the Beginning
Don't expect this to be an isolated incident. The Trump-Vance administration has made it crystal clear that sanctuary cities will face real consequences for their defiance of federal immigration law. When local Democrats choose to protect criminals over citizens, they forfeit their right to federal cooperation and resources.
How many more agencies will follow the SBA's lead? How many sanctuary cities are about to learn that harboring illegal aliens comes with a very real price tag? Minneapolis just became the first domino to fall in what promises to be a nationwide reckoning.
