Just as President Trump begins his second term with momentum to restore America, a familiar threat emerges in New Hampshire that could derail Republican control of the Senate. Aaron Day, the entrepreneur who ran a damaging third-party campaign in 2016, is signaling he's prepared to mount another spoiler effort that could gift wrap a competitive Senate seat for the Democrats.
Day, who chairs a so-called "liberty" advocacy group, told the Washington Examiner he's ready to launch what he openly describes as a "spoiler campaign" to push his anti-technocratic message. But Patriots need to ask themselves: is this really about principles, or is this about one man's ego putting the entire MAGA agenda at risk?
This isn't Day's first rodeo when it comes to potentially sabotaging Republican victories. His 2016 third-party run siphoned crucial votes away from the GOP candidate, and now he's threatening to do it again at the worst possible time for conservatives.
The Stakes Couldn't Be Higher
With Trump back in the White House and Republicans holding narrow control of Congress, every Senate seat matters for implementing the America First agenda. Mass deportations, border security, energy independence, and draining the swamp all depend on maintaining Republican majorities.
New Hampshire represents one of the most competitive Senate races in the country, and Day's potential entry could be the difference between a GOP pickup and another six years of Democrat obstruction. While Day wraps his potential campaign in liberty rhetoric, the practical effect would be helping Democrats maintain their stranglehold on power.
"I'm prepared to mount a spoiler campaign," Day told the Washington Examiner, apparently proud of his role as a potential kingmaker for the left.
The question New Hampshire conservatives must ask themselves is simple: Do they want to help Trump rebuild America, or do they want to enable another vanity campaign that serves no one but the candidate's own ambitions?
Patriots across the Granite State need to make their voices heard loud and clear. The MAGA movement didn't come this far to let political opportunists hand victories to the Democrats on a silver platter.
