Just as President Trump begins his second term with a Republican majority in Congress, a familiar threat emerges to undermine conservative momentum. Aaron Day, the entrepreneur who ran a disastrous third-party Senate campaign in 2016, is reportedly preparing to launch another spoiler effort that could hand a crucial New Hampshire Senate seat to the Democrats.

Day, who chairs a so-called "liberty" advocacy group, told the Washington Examiner he's prepared to mount what he openly calls a "spoiler campaign" under the guise of fighting "technocracy." This is exactly the kind of self-serving political theater that puts personal ambition ahead of the America First agenda that voters decisively endorsed in 2024.

Same Playbook, Same Damage

Patriots should remember Day's 2016 Senate run, where his third-party candidacy helped split the anti-establishment vote and contributed to Republican struggles in what should have been a winnable race. Now, with Trump's mandate for change and a real opportunity to expand the GOP Senate majority, Day wants to play the same destructive game.

The timing couldn't be worse for this kind of political vanity project. Republicans control the government and have a historic opportunity to implement lasting conservative reforms - from completing the border wall to dismantling the deep state bureaucracy. Every Senate seat matters for confirming Trump's judicial picks and advancing the MAGA agenda.

"This is about amplifying an anti-technocratic message," Day claims, but what it really amplifies is Democrat chances of retaking the Senate.

New Hampshire represents one of the GOP's best pickup opportunities, especially with Trump's improved standing in the Granite State and growing voter anger over Democrat failures on inflation, crime, and the border crisis.

Patriots Must Stay Focused

The last thing conservatives need is another ego-driven candidate splitting the vote and handing victory to Chuck Schumer's allies. Day's "anti-technocratic" messaging might sound appealing to some liberty-minded voters, but the reality is simple: every vote for a third-party spoiler is effectively a vote for continued Democrat obstruction of Trump's agenda.

Will New Hampshire Republicans learn from 2016's mistakes, or will they let another vanity candidate sabotage their chances of expanding Trump's governing majority?

Primary elections exist for a reason! If this person can't win the primary fair and square, they need to step aside for the good of the movement.

Exactly right. We can't afford to split the vote when Chuck Schumer is pouring millions into NH to flip this seat.

This is exactly what happened in 2022 with the Georgia runoffs. We need to unite behind the strongest Trump-endorsed candidate or we'll lose everything to the radical left!

100% agree. The establishment RINOs would rather see Democrats win than support America First candidates.

Who is this spoiler candidate exactly? The article mentions the threat but I'd like to know more about their background and funding sources.

The Deep State and donor class will do anything to stop Trump's agenda. Stay strong New Hampshire!
