A radical Minnesota Democrat is openly calling for resistance against President Trump's mass deportation operations, urging residents to track ICE agents and deliver groceries to illegal aliens hiding from federal authorities.
St. Paul City Council Vice President Hwa Jeong Kim posted an inflammatory video on Instagram encouraging locals to actively obstruct Immigration and Customs Enforcement operations in direct defiance of federal law.
"Today I'm kicking off one of our first mutual aid grocery runs in my neighborhood," Kim declared in the social media post, essentially announcing her intention to aid and abet individuals who are in the country illegally.
The Democrat politician's call for resistance comes as President Trump's administration prepares to fulfill his campaign promise of the largest deportation operation in American history. Rather than supporting the rule of law, Kim is encouraging criminal behavior that could put her own constituents in legal jeopardy.
"What to Do If ICE Shows Up: Know Your Rights. Here are five guidelines for how to respond if US federal immigration agents stop, approach you, or knock at your door," posted one social media user, sharing resources clearly designed to help illegal aliens evade deportation.
The backlash has been swift and brutal. Americans across social media are expressing outrage at Kim's blatant disregard for federal immigration law and her encouragement of obstruction tactics.
One Twitter user noted the impossible position Kim's resistance efforts put law enforcement in: "Kim's not wrong about pepper spraying the adversarial crowd but the ICE officers and their families would become targets of the media feeding frenzy if they sprayed."
This is exactly the kind of lawless behavior patriotic Americans voted against in November. While President Trump works to secure our borders and remove those who entered illegally, radical Democrats like Kim are actively working to undermine federal law enforcement.
How many more Democrat officials will openly defy federal immigration law before facing consequences? The American people deserve leaders who respect the rule of law, not politicians who encourage criminal resistance to legitimate government operations.
