EXPOSED: NYC Democrats RAGE as DHS Detains Venezuelan Council Employee During Immigration Hearing

New York City's most radical Democrat politicians are in full meltdown mode after the Department of Homeland Security detained a Venezuelan city council employee during an immigration court hearing on Long Island Monday. The incident has exposed just how deep the sanctuary city swamp runs in the Big Apple.

Mayor Zohran Mamdani and Rep. Dan Goldman (D-NY) led the charge in attacking DHS for doing their job – enforcing immigration law. The detained individual, described as a data analyst for the city council, was apparently in the country illegally and attending what should have been a routine immigration proceeding.

But here's what's really outrageous, Patriots: These same Democrats who spent years screaming about "rule of law" during Trump's first term are now furious when immigration laws are actually enforced. They want special treatment for their political allies while everyday Americans suffer the consequences of open borders.

Sanctuary City Hypocrisy on Full Display

This incident perfectly illustrates the arrogance of New York's radical establishment. They think they can harbor illegal immigrants in government positions and face zero consequences. Well, guess what? The Trump-Vance administration isn't playing games.

Secretary Kristi Noem's DHS is sending a clear message: Immigration law applies to everyone, including those cozy with Democrat politicians. No more special treatment. No more looking the other way.

"The American people voted for immigration enforcement, and that's exactly what they're getting," one administration source told reporters.

While Mamdani and Goldman clutch their pearls, hardworking Americans are cheering. Finally, we have an administration that puts American citizens first instead of catering to the radical left's open borders agenda.

This is just the beginning, folks. The mass deportation operation President Trump promised is in full swing, and no amount of Democrat tears will stop it. The question is: How many more illegal immigrants are hiding in New York City's government? And what will these radical Democrats do when DHS comes knocking again?

Wait, so someone who potentially entered illegally was working for the city council? How many more are there in government positions? We need a full audit.

Great question. This could be the tip of the iceberg.

Background checks clearly aren't working if this is happening.

The Democrats' outrage is so predictable. They want special treatment for their allies while regular Americans suffer from their failed immigration policies.

How was this person even hired without proper documentation? Someone in HR needs to answer some serious questions about their vetting process.

NYC probably has sanctuary policies that prevent proper screening. This is what happens.

I moved out of NYC five years ago because of this exact kind of nonsense. The city prioritizes illegal immigrants over law-abiding citizens and then acts shocked when there are consequences.

Finally! DHS is doing their job instead of playing politics. If you're here illegally, you face consequences - doesn't matter what job you have.

Exactly right. The law applies to everyone equally.

My family waited 8 years to come here legally from the Philippines. Why should anyone get to skip the line? This is insulting to all of us who followed the rules.

The rule of law matters. If we don't enforce immigration laws consistently, we don't have a functioning system at all.
