EXPOSED: Socialist NYC Councilman DEFENDS Illegal Alien Employee as DHS Calls Him 'Criminal'

Socialist New York City Councilman Zohran Mamdani is having an absolute meltdown after federal immigration officials detained one of his employees—a Venezuelan illegal alien who the Department of Homeland Security says is a "criminal illegal alien."

Fifty-three-year-old Rafael Andres Rubio Bohorquez was working as a data analyst at New York City Hall when ICE agents detained him during what was supposed to be a routine immigration appointment. But here's the kicker: DHS isn't calling this guy just any illegal alien—they're specifically labeling him a "criminal illegal alien."

Mamdani, true to his radical leftist form, immediately went into full resistance mode, demanding the man's immediate release and claiming this enforcement of federal immigration law is somehow "an assault on our democracy, on our city, and our values."

Really? Enforcing immigration law is an assault on democracy? This is the twisted logic of the radical left, folks.

Patriots on social media are having none of Mamdani's theatrics. One user perfectly captured the absurdity: "Get this, the socialist democrat is 'outraged'. LOL. This makes my day."

Meanwhile, protests are reportedly being organized as Mamdani teams up with Council Speaker Julie Menin to fight for their detained employee. Because apparently, New York City officials think protecting criminal illegal aliens is more important than following federal law.

This is exactly why President Trump's mass deportation agenda is so critical. For too long, sanctuary cities like New York have harbored illegal aliens—including criminals—while thumbing their nose at federal immigration enforcement.

The Trump Administration Won't Back Down

Under the new Trump-Vance administration, those days are over. Secretary of Homeland Security Kristi Noem and the president's team are making it crystal clear: if you're here illegally, especially if you're a criminal, you're going home.

The fact that this individual was working inside New York City government raises serious questions about the city's hiring practices and security protocols. How many other illegal aliens are embedded in government positions across sanctuary cities?

Mamdani can throw all the tantrums he wants, but the American people spoke loud and clear in November 2024. We want our immigration laws enforced, our borders secured, and criminal illegal aliens removed from our communities—not protected by radical politicians.

Why are we even debating this? Criminal means criminal, regardless of immigration status.

The socialist agenda in action folks. They'd rather protect criminals than American citizens. When will New Yorkers wake up and vote these people out?

Hopefully in the next election cycle. We need a complete house cleaning.

Does anyone know what specific crimes this employee committed? The article mentions DHS calling him a criminal but I'd like more details.

This is exactly what's wrong with NYC leadership! How can they defend someone DHS labeled as a criminal?

Because they care more about virtue signaling than actually protecting citizens.

This is why I'm moving to Florida next year. Can't take this insanity anymore.

I work in the city and see this stuff firsthand. It's infuriating that my tax dollars are going to support people who shouldn't even be here legally.

Same here. Meanwhile they can't fix the potholes or keep the subways clean.
