In a stunning display of callousness that perfectly encapsulates the radical left's abortion obsession, Democrat Senator Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire essentially shrugged off forced abortions as just "part of history" while defending dangerous mail-order abortion pills during a Senate committee hearing Wednesday.
Hassan, appearing before the Senate Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions Committee, had the audacity to accuse Republican senators of "gaslighting" Americans about the very real dangers of mifepristone - the abortion drug that has killed dozens of women and sent thousands more to emergency rooms.
But here's where it gets truly disgusting, Patriots: When confronted with evidence that abusers are using these mail-order pills to force abortions on their victims, Hassan dismissed this horrific violence as merely a "longstanding part of human history."
Think about that for a moment. A sitting U.S. Senator just told America that because domestic violence has existed throughout history, we should make it easier for predators to access chemical abortion drugs. This is the sick logic of today's Democrat Party.
"Violence against pregnant women is a longstanding part of human history," Hassan callously remarked, as if that somehow justifies making deadly drugs easily accessible to abusers.
Republican senators rightfully hammered Hassan and her fellow Democrats for prioritizing their radical abortion agenda over women's safety. These GOP lawmakers understand what Hassan apparently doesn't: that removing basic medical safeguards from powerful drugs puts vulnerable women directly in harm's way.
This is exactly the kind of extremist thinking that President Trump and the MAGA movement decisively rejected in November. While Democrats like Hassan treat forced abortions as acceptable collateral damage in their war on the unborn, conservatives are fighting to protect both mothers AND babies.
The timing couldn't be more telling. As Trump prepares to implement his pro-life agenda and restore sanity to federal policy, Democrats are doubling down on their most extreme positions. Hassan's comments prove they've learned absolutely nothing from their crushing electoral defeat.
How many more women have to suffer before Democrats admit their mail-order abortion scheme is a dangerous disaster that puts politics over people?
