House Majority Whip Tom Emmer delivered a scathing demand Tuesday for Minnesota Governor Tim Walz to resign immediately as Minneapolis descends into chaos following a fatal ICE shooting that has ignited violent protests across the city.
The confrontation erupted after Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents fatally shot Renee Nicole Good during what sources describe as a routine enforcement operation under President Trump's mass deportation agenda. Within hours, far-left agitators had mobilized angry mobs that are now terrorizing the Twin Cities with the same destructive fury we witnessed during the 2020 George Floyd riots.
"Tim Walz has proven once again that he is completely incapable of maintaining law and order in Minnesota," Emmer declared. "His failed leadership during the 2020 riots cost billions in damage and destroyed countless lives. Now he's allowing the same radical elements to burn down Minneapolis again rather than standing with our brave ICE agents who are simply doing their jobs."
Walz Chooses Criminals Over Law Enforcement
Instead of backing federal immigration enforcement, Walz has remained conspicuously silent as anti-ICE protesters rampage through the streets. This is the same failed governor who stood by while Minneapolis burned for days during the BLM riots, costing taxpayers over $500 million in damages.
"Minnesotans deserve a governor who will protect law-abiding citizens, not one who enables lawless mobs every time they disagree with federal law enforcement," Emmer continued.
The timing couldn't be worse for Democrats. With President Trump's deportation operations in full swing and massive public support for removing criminal illegal aliens, Walz's weakness exposes the radical left's true priorities – protecting foreign criminals over American citizens.
Patriots across Minnesota are watching closely to see if their governor will finally choose sides. Will Walz stand with the rule of law and President Trump's mandate to secure our borders? Or will he once again bow to the radical mob and let Minneapolis burn?
