President Trump's State Department just dropped the hammer on welfare abuse, announcing Wednesday that it will freeze immigrant visa processing for citizens of 75 countries whose migrants "take welfare from the American people at unacceptable rates."

This is exactly the kind of America First action patriots voted for when they returned Trump to the White House. While the Biden regime spent four years rolling out the red carpet for anyone who wanted to come here and live off hardworking taxpayers, Trump is putting our citizens first.

The visa freeze represents a massive shift from the previous administration's open-borders mentality that treated American taxpayers like an ATM for the world's welfare seekers. Under Biden, millions of migrants flooded across our borders with the expectation that Uncle Sam would provide for their every need.

Protecting American Taxpayers

Secretary of State Marco Rubio's department is finally asking the tough questions: Why should American families struggling with inflation and rising costs subsidize foreign nationals who come here expecting handouts? Why should our tax dollars go to people who haven't contributed a dime to our system?

The answer is simple – they shouldn't. And Trump is doing something about it.

"This administration will not allow America to be taken advantage of by nations whose citizens view our welfare system as their personal piggy bank," a State Department official stated.

This move sends a clear message to the world: America is no longer the global welfare office. If you want to come here, you better be prepared to contribute, not just collect.

The targeted countries have shown a pattern of sending migrants who immediately burden our social services instead of pursuing the American Dream through hard work and self-reliance. That gravy train just got derailed.

Democrats will predictably screech about "compassion" and "diversity," but where's their compassion for American families footing the bill? Where's their concern for our veterans and seniors who struggle while resources get diverted to non-citizens?

This is what putting America First looks like in action. The question is: will other agencies follow the State Department's lead in prioritizing Americans over foreign welfare seekers?

This is exactly what we voted for! Does anyone know which specific countries are on the list?

I'd like to see that list too. Transparency is key here.

About time! I work at the local benefits office and you wouldn't believe what I see daily. People coming in with brand new cars demanding benefits while hardworking Americans struggle to make ends meet.

Common sense policy right there.

Finally! Someone with the backbone to put America first. Our welfare system should be for Americans, not a magnet for people gaming the system.

Exactly right Mike. I've been saying this for years - charity starts at home!
