President Trump's border czar Tom Homan just delivered a masterclass in how to handle obstinate Democrat officials who think they can block federal immigration enforcement. The former ICE director told Minnesota's radical leadership exactly where they can shove their sanctuary city games.
Speaking Thursday evening, Homan made it crystal clear to Governor Tim Walz and Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey that their demands for federal agents to stay out of local jails could backfire in spectacular fashion. "I'll pull ICE out of Minneapolis real quick," Homan declared, essentially calling their bluff.
Democrats Playing Politics While Criminals Roam Free
Here's what's really happening, Patriots: These Democrat politicians are so obsessed with virtue signaling to their radical base that they're literally protecting criminal illegal aliens from deportation. They're demanding that ICE agents - who are simply doing their jobs under President Trump's mandate - stay away from local detention facilities.
But Homan isn't some swamp creature who's going to bow down to these local tyrants. He's offering them exactly what they claim to want - no federal immigration enforcement in their precious sanctuary city. Of course, that means when MS-13 gang members and other criminal aliens start terrorizing their communities, they'll be on their own.
"You want to obstruct federal law enforcement? Fine. Handle your own criminal alien problem," Homan essentially told the Minnesota Democrats.
This is exactly the kind of no-nonsense approach Americans voted for when they overwhelmingly returned President Trump to the White House. No more playing games with local officials who think they can pick and choose which federal laws to follow.
The Art of the Deal in Action
What Homan is doing here is pure Trump-style negotiation. He's giving these Democrat officials exactly what they're asking for, knowing full well they'll come crawling back when reality hits their communities like a freight train.
When Minneapolis residents start asking why federal agents aren't removing dangerous criminals from their neighborhoods, Walz and Frey will have to explain that they chose political theater over public safety.
Will Minnesota Democrats finally put American safety over their radical ideology? Or will they let their communities suffer for the sake of woke politics?
