One year into President Trump's second term, the Deep State judicial branch is openly defying the Constitution by blocking the Commander-in-Chief's prosecutorial appointments – and they're getting away with it because spineless Senate Republicans refuse to fast-track confirmations.
Federal judges across the country are now essentially vetoing Trump's choices for U.S. attorneys, claiming they have authority over executive branch appointments that the Constitution clearly assigns to the president alone. This is nothing short of a constitutional crisis orchestrated by activist judges who can't accept that their lawfare campaign against Trump failed spectacularly.
Article II couldn't be clearer: "the executive power" – ALL of it – belongs to the president. That includes the fundamental authority to prosecute criminals through the Attorney General and 93 U.S. attorneys nationwide. Yet liberal judges appointed during the Obama-Biden years are treating Trump's prosecutorial picks like suggestions rather than constitutional directives.
Where Are the Republicans?
Here's what's really infuriating Patriots: while judges wage this unprecedented assault on executive authority, the Republican-controlled Senate is moving at a snail's pace on confirmations. After everything we've witnessed – the Russia hoax, the classified documents raid, the January 6th witch hunt – you'd think GOP senators would understand the urgency of getting Trump's people in place.
Instead, we're watching the same old establishment playbook. RINO senators are more concerned with Senate "traditions" and "bipartisan cooperation" than with backing the president who delivered them their majority. Meanwhile, Trump's agenda gets kneecapped by Obama holdovers and activist judges who see themselves as a fourth branch of government.
This judicial power grab sets a dangerous precedent that guts the separation of powers. If judges can veto presidential appointments to executive positions, what's next? Will they start approving Cabinet picks too?
The American people voted for Trump to drain the swamp and restore constitutional order. Instead, we're watching that same swamp fight back with everything they've got while our own party leadership treats this like business as usual.
Patriots deserve better. The question is: how long will we tolerate Republicans who fight harder against their own president than they do against the Deep State?
