Just 14 days before President Trump's inauguration, Maryland Democrat Senator Chris Van Hollen has already declared war on America's border security by vowing to vote against funding Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) operations.
During an appearance on ABC's "This Week" Sunday, Van Hollen shamelessly called Trump's upcoming immigration enforcement "lawless" and "brutal" - apparently believing that enforcing existing federal law is somehow controversial.
"I will not vote to fund Trump's lawless, brutal ICE operations," Van Hollen declared, essentially admitting he's willing to sabotage the safety of American communities to protect illegal aliens who have no right to be here.
Democrats Choose Illegal Aliens Over Americans - Again
This is exactly the kind of radical obstruction that cost Democrats the election in November. While Americans are struggling with crime, housing costs, and job competition from illegal workers, Van Hollen wants to defund the very agency responsible for removing dangerous criminal aliens from our neighborhoods.
Van Hollen's tantrum comes as Trump prepares to launch the largest deportation operation in American history - a promise he made to voters who overwhelmingly support removing people who entered our country illegally. The senator apparently thinks enforcing immigration law is "brutal," but what's truly brutal is forcing American families to compete with illegal labor and live in fear of MS-13 gang members.
