Former Maryland Governor Larry Hogan has officially announced he won't challenge incumbent Democrat Wes Moore in this November's gubernatorial election, delivering another blow to Republicans hoping for real conservative leadership in the Old Line State.
The announcement comes as no surprise to Patriots who remember Hogan's pathetic Never-Trump antics and his cozy relationship with the D.C. swamp. While President Trump has been delivering victory after victory in his second term, Hogan continues to sit on the sidelines like the establishment RINO he's always been.
Maryland law would have allowed Hogan to run again since governors are only barred from serving consecutive terms, not lifetime limits. But instead of stepping up to fight Moore's radical progressive agenda, Hogan is taking his ball and going home – again.
A History of Betrayal
This is the same Larry Hogan who spent Trump's first term undermining America First policies and cozying up to the mainstream media. When Maryland families needed a fighter, they got a Never-Trumper more concerned with his CNN appearances than conservative principles.
Remember, Hogan already humiliated himself in 2024 with a disastrous Senate campaign against now-Senator Angela Alsobrooks, proving that his moderate, wishy-washy brand of politics is exactly what voters are rejecting nationwide.
Meanwhile, Governor Moore continues pushing his woke agenda on Maryland families – from transgender policies in schools to sanctuary city nonsense that puts illegal immigrants before American citizens. Where's Hogan's fire to fight back? Nowhere to be found.
"Larry Hogan represents everything wrong with the old Republican Party – weak, spineless, and more interested in getting pats on the head from Democrats than actually fighting for conservative values."
While President Trump is draining the swamp and delivering on his America First agenda, RINOs like Hogan prove they're part of the problem, not the solution. Maryland deserves better than another establishment Republican who folds the moment things get tough.
The question now is: will a real conservative step up to challenge Moore, or will Maryland Republicans continue settling for swamp creatures like Larry Hogan?
