BREAKING: Minneapolis Mayor Frey PANICS Over DOJ Subpoena, Cries 'Political Retribution' as FBI Closes In

Minneapolis Democratic Mayor Jacob Frey is in full panic mode after the FBI served him with federal subpoenas this week, desperately claiming the Justice Department's investigation into him and other Minnesota Democrats is nothing more than "political retribution."

Frey, along with Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and Attorney General Keith Ellison, received subpoenas from federal investigators who are probing allegations that the trio conspired to interfere with federal law. But instead of cooperating with the investigation, Frey is taking a page straight out of the Democrat playbook – crying victim and attacking the process.

"It's frivolous," Frey whined to reporters, apparently hoping his dismissive attitude would make the federal investigation disappear. This is the same tired strategy we've seen from Democrats for years: when caught red-handed, immediately claim it's all "political persecution."

The Usual Suspects

It's hardly surprising that this trio finds themselves in federal investigators' crosshairs. Walz, who served as Kamala Harris's disastrous running mate in 2024, presided over the Minneapolis riots that burned down entire city blocks while he sat on his hands. Ellison, a former associate of Louis Farrakhan, has a long history of radical left-wing activism. And Frey? He's the mayor who let his city burn while playing politics with public safety.

The fact that these three Minnesota Democrats are now facing federal scrutiny tells you everything you need to know about how they've been operating behind the scenes. When you spend years putting politics above the rule of law, eventually the chickens come home to roost.

What's particularly rich is Frey's claim that this investigation is "political retribution." This coming from the same party that spent four years weaponizing federal agencies against President Trump and his supporters. The lack of self-awareness is absolutely stunning.

Patriots across America are watching this unfold with great interest. After years of watching Democrats escape accountability while conservatives faced persecution, it appears the tables have finally turned. The Trump-Vance administration promised to restore law and order – and they're delivering.

How long will it take before Frey, Walz, and Ellison start singing a different tune?

Good! Maybe this will send a message to other mayors that they can't just abandon their duty to protect citizens and businesses. The damage done to Minneapolis was inexcusable.

Absolutely right. Small businesses are the backbone of America and they were left to fend for themselves.

As a former LEO, I saw firsthand how these politicians threw police under the bus for political points. The officers I know who worked Minneapolis during that time have horror stories about the lack of support from city leadership.

Crying 'political retribution' is the standard playbook when they get caught. What exactly is the DOJ investigating him for?

The article doesn't specify but probably related to his handling of the 2020 riots and potential civil rights violations.

When you can't defend your actions, just scream 'political persecution.' Same old Democrat playbook every single time.

🍿 This should be interesting! Wonder how many other Democrat mayors are sweating right now.

I live here and watched this city get destroyed while Frey did nothing. My neighborhood still hasn't recovered from the riots and businesses are still boarded up. If he broke the law, he needs to face justice like anyone else.

Finally! About time someone held these radical mayors accountable for letting their cities burn while law-abiding citizens suffered.

Exactly! They had no problem defunding police while crime skyrocketed. Actions have consequences.
