POWER GRAB EXPOSED: Democrat Lawyers Target NYC's ONLY Republican Congressional Seat Days Before Trump Takes Office

Democrats are making one final power grab before President Trump officially begins his second term, with party operatives filing a lawsuit to eliminate New York City's only Republican-held congressional seat in what critics are calling "absurd fraud."

The lawsuit, filed by the notorious Elias Law Group — the same Washington D.C. swamp creatures who spent years pushing Russian collusion hoaxes — claims that Staten Island's GOP district somehow "dilutes black and Latino voting strength." But here's the kicker: the district maps were approved by the Democrat-controlled New York legislature and signed by radical Governor Kathy Hochul herself.

That's right, folks. Democrats drew these maps, Democrats approved these maps, and now Democrats are suing over their own maps because they can't stand that a single Republican district exists in the entire city of New York.

The Swamp's Final Desperate Move

This isn't about voting rights — it's about raw political power. The Elias Law Group, led by Marc Elias, has made a career out of weaponizing the courts to overturn election results Democrats don't like. Now they're trying to gerrymander away the people's choice just days before Trump's inauguration.

The timing isn't coincidental. With Republicans controlling Washington and Trump's America First agenda ready to roll, Democrats are panicking. They know they're about to lose their stranglehold on federal power, so they're making desperate moves at the state level to grab whatever seats they can.

"This is nothing more than lawfare designed to silence Republican voters," said one GOP strategist familiar with the case. "They can't win on the issues, so they're trying to win in the courts."

Staten Island voters chose their representative fair and square under maps that Democrats themselves created. But apparently, when Democrats don't like the results of their own gerrymandering, they just sue to change the rules after the game is over.

This is exactly the kind of swamp behavior that President Trump has spent years fighting against. While Trump prepares to drain the administrative state, Democrats are trying to rig the game at every level. Will patriotic Americans let them get away with this blatant power grab?

Can someone explain what specific legal grounds they're using for this challenge? Seems like a fishing expedition to me but I'd like to understand their supposed justification.

I live in this district and voted for our Republican rep. It's disgusting that Democrat lawyers think they can just overturn our votes because they don't like the outcome. We need to fight this hard!

This is exactly what we've been warning about for years! They can't win fair and square so they resort to lawfare and dirty tricks.

Absolutely right. Same playbook they used against Trump - when you can't beat them, sue them.

My family has lived in NYC for three generations and we've watched it become a one-party city. The fact that they can't even tolerate ONE Republican seat shows how authoritarian they've become. This is why we need to keep fighting for every seat, every vote.

The timing says it all - they're panicking because Trump is about to take office and they're losing their grip on power.

Exactly! They know their days of weaponizing the justice system are numbered.
