Michigan's far-left Attorney General Dana Nessel has just launched another radical attack on American energy independence, filing a bogus lawsuit against major oil companies that she absurdly claims formed "a cartel" to suppress electric vehicles.
The lawsuit, filed Friday on behalf of Michigan residents, targets BP, Chevron, ExxonMobil, Shell, and the American Petroleum Institute, alleging they violated antitrust laws by supposedly conspiring to harm renewable energy and EV markets. What a joke!
This is pure lawfare from the radical left, folks. Nessel is essentially arguing that oil companies committed crimes by... selling oil and gas that Americans actually want and need. Meanwhile, EVs have been failing spectacularly in the marketplace because they're expensive, unreliable, and impractical for most hardworking Americans.
Perfect Timing for Energy Sabotage
The timing of this lawsuit is no coincidence. President Trump is just two weeks away from unleashing his "Drill, baby, drill" agenda to restore American energy dominance. The last thing radical Democrats want is cheap, abundant American energy that makes families prosperous and our nation energy independent.
Instead of attacking the companies that power our economy and heat our homes, maybe Nessel should focus on the real problems plaguing Michigan - like crime, crumbling infrastructure, and the economic devastation left behind by decades of failed Democrat policies.
"This is what desperation looks like when the green energy scam is falling apart," one energy industry insider told us. "They can't compete in the free market, so they're trying to use the courts to destroy their competition."
Here's the reality: Oil companies didn't need to "conspire" against EVs. Electric vehicles are failing on their own because they don't meet the needs of real Americans. Range anxiety, charging infrastructure problems, cold weather failures, and sky-high prices have all contributed to their market struggles.
This lawsuit represents everything wrong with today's radical Democrat party - they'd rather destroy American businesses through bogus litigation than let the free market work. Fortunately, with Trump returning to power in two weeks, this kind of anti-energy extremism's days are numbered.
