While President Trump's administration is working to make America's 250th birthday celebration truly spectacular, Democrats are already throwing wrenches into the gears of patriotic celebration. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy is pushing for an absolutely epic IndyCar race around our nation's capital this August, but the left is predictably pumping the brakes on American greatness.
Picture this, Patriots: the world's fastest drivers tearing around the National Mall at 200+ mph, with the Capitol dome and Washington Monument as the backdrop. It would be the most American spectacle imaginable – fast cars, freedom, and a big middle finger to the countries that wish they had our spirit.
But Democrats can't stand the idea of America actually celebrating itself. While Duffy and the Trump administration want to showcase American engineering, speed, and glory to the world, the left is busy finding reasons why we can't have nice things.
Fast Cars and Freedom Terrify the Left
Of course they're opposed to this. Democrats hate everything that makes America great – from our Second Amendment rights to our muscle cars to our unapologetic patriotism. An IndyCar race screaming past the seat of government? That's way too much winning for their taste.
This is exactly the kind of bold, America-first thinking we elected Trump to deliver. While Biden would have organized some boring, woke diversity seminar for our nation's birthday, Trump's team wants to give us something that actually celebrates what makes this country exceptional.
Think about it: what better way to show the world American superiority than having the fastest cars on Earth racing past the monuments to our founding fathers? It's pure poetry in motion – the marriage of American innovation, competition, and freedom.
The question is whether we'll let Democrat party-poopers kill this incredible opportunity to show the world what American celebration really looks like. After 250 years of kicking ass and taking names, don't we deserve a birthday party that actually matches our greatness?
