Maine Governor Janet Mills is wasting no time launching her resistance campaign against President Trump's mass deportation agenda, outrageously demanding that Congress halt funding for ICE and the Department of Homeland Security "until questions are answered."
Speaking on MSNBC's "The Weeknight" Friday, the radical Democrat governor – who is also eyeing a U.S. Senate run – essentially called for defunding the very agencies tasked with protecting Americans from illegal immigration and securing our homeland.
This is the same tired playbook we've seen from the radical left for years: obstruct, resist, and put illegal aliens ahead of American citizens. Mills is basically demanding that Trump's deportation machine be shut down before it can even get started.
Deep State Resistance in Full Swing
What "questions" is Mills talking about exactly? The American people already answered the biggest question of all when they overwhelmingly elected Trump on a platform of mass deportations and border security. We don't need permission from some New England liberal to enforce our immigration laws.
This is pure obstruction disguised as "oversight." Mills knows exactly what ICE and DHS are planning to do – remove the millions of illegal aliens that the Biden regime allowed to flood into our country over the past four years. That's not a bug, it's a feature.
Patriots should remember that this is the same crowd that wanted to "defund the police" while crime soared in Democrat-run cities. Now they want to defund the agencies protecting us from foreign invasion.
Trump Won't Be Deterred
The good news? President Trump has a mandate from the American people and Republican control of Congress. Mills can whine all she wants on MSNBC, but the deportation train is leaving the station whether she likes it or not.
Secretary Kristi Noem and the rest of Trump's team aren't going to be intimidated by some virtue-signaling governor from a state with more lobsters than people. They have a job to do, and they're going to do it.
How long before other Democrat governors join Mills' resistance movement? And will Republicans have the backbone to ignore these radical demands and fund our immigration enforcement agencies fully?
