Leave it to the Democrats to try and kill America's birthday party. Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy is pushing for an epic IndyCar race around the National Mall this August as part of our nation's 250th anniversary celebration, but predictably, leftist killjoys are doing everything they can to stop it.
What could be more American than fast cars, roaring engines, and celebrating freedom right in the heart of our nation's capital? For patriots, the answer is obvious. But for Democrats who hate everything that makes America great, even a car race is apparently too much patriotic spirit to handle.
Secretary Duffy, a former congressman from Wisconsin who knows how to get things done, is revving up support for what would be an absolutely incredible spectacle. Picture this: world-class drivers pushing 200+ mph machines around our most sacred monuments, celebrating the greatest nation on Earth during its biggest milestone birthday.
"Fast cars and freedom sound like an all-American good time," sources close to the proposal noted, perfectly capturing what real Americans are thinking.
But of course, the party-pooper Democrats can't stand the idea of Americans having fun while celebrating their own country. These are the same people who wanted to cancel Fourth of July fireworks, remember? The same crowd that thinks Mount Rushmore is "problematic" and that American flags are somehow offensive.
Why Democrats Hate American Excellence
This isn't really about traffic concerns or logistics – Democrats managed to shut down entire cities for their BLM riots, after all. No, this is about their fundamental hatred of anything that celebrates American greatness, American innovation, and American exceptionalism.
IndyCar racing represents everything they despise: speed, competition, excellence, and pure American engineering prowess. It's no wonder they're trying to slam the brakes on Secretary Duffy's brilliant idea.
President Trump's administration is trying to give Americans the 250th birthday celebration we deserve – one worthy of the greatest nation in human history. Meanwhile, Democrats would probably prefer a quiet, apologetic gathering where we talk about our "problematic past" instead of celebrating our incredible achievements.
Will patriots rally behind this amazing proposal, or will we let the fun police Democrats ruin America's biggest birthday bash? The choice seems pretty clear.
