Just weeks into President Trump's second term, establishment Republicans are already showing their true colors by attacking the administration's efforts to enforce immigration law and protect Americans from dangerous criminals.
A handful of GOP lawmakers are now joining the Democrat chorus of outrage after federal immigration agents were forced to use deadly force against an armed suspect in Minneapolis - the second such incident in the sanctuary city that has become a hotbed of illegal immigrant crime.
These so-called "Republicans" are demanding investigations and even suggesting that Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents should "leave the state" - essentially calling for an end to federal immigration enforcement in Minnesota. Sound familiar? It's the same Democrat talking points we've heard for years.
"This is disturbing," one Hill Republican reportedly said, apparently more concerned about political optics than the safety of federal agents and American citizens.
Let's be crystal clear about what's happening here: Trump's ICE agents are doing exactly what the American people elected him to do - removing dangerous criminals from our communities. These aren't innocent "dreamers" getting rounded up at random. These are armed suspects who chose to resist federal law enforcement.
But instead of backing the brave men and women putting their lives on the line to enforce our immigration laws, these RINO Republicans are throwing them under the bus at the first sign of media pressure. It's the same swamp behavior that sabotaged Trump's first term.
Deep State Resistance Continues
Make no mistake - this "rare GOP pushback" isn't happening in a vacuum. The same forces that spent four years trying to undermine Trump are now using their Republican allies to attack his immigration agenda from within.
Minneapolis has been a Democrat-controlled disaster zone for years, with city officials actively obstructing federal immigration enforcement while violent crime soars. Now when Trump finally takes action to clean up their mess, suddenly everyone's concerned about "excessive force."
Patriots need to remember which Republicans stood with Trump when it mattered - and which ones caved to the establishment at the first opportunity. The MAGA movement didn't fight this hard to put America First Republicans in power just to watch them fold like cheap suits.
