Another Democrat just proved why Americans can't trust the left on border security. Rep. Tom Suozzi (D-NY) completely reversed his support for ICE funding after taking heat from his radical base following a shooting incident in Minneapolis.
Just days after being one of only seven House Democrats to vote for Department of Homeland Security funding, Suozzi threw in the towel Monday, admitting "I failed" in a pathetic display of political cowardice.
This is exactly the kind of spineless behavior patriots have come to expect from Democrats. When push comes to shove, they'll always cave to the far-left mob instead of standing up for American safety and border security.
The Pressure Campaign Worked
Suozzi represents a suburban New York district that President Trump won in 2024 – which makes his flip-flop even more telling. Despite his constituents clearly supporting Trump's America First agenda, Suozzi chose to bow down to the radical activists in his party.
"I failed," Suozzi said, essentially admitting he lacks the backbone to stand by his own votes when the going gets tough.
This is why Trump's decisive victory was so crucial. Democrats like Suozzi will say whatever it takes to get elected, then immediately betray their promises when their extremist handlers crack the whip.
No Surprise Here, Patriots
While conservatives are disappointed but not shocked by this betrayal, it serves as a perfect reminder of what we're up against. The Democrat Party has been completely captured by anti-American radicals who oppose even basic border security measures.
President Trump and his administration are moving full speed ahead with their mass deportation plans and border security initiatives – with or without Democrat support. At least now we know exactly where Suozzi stands when it matters.
How many more Democrats will abandon their own votes when the radical left comes calling? Don't hold your breath waiting for profiles in courage from that side of the aisle.
