The corruption chickens are coming home to roost for Democrat Governor Albert Bryan in the Virgin Islands, as yet another one of his handpicked cronies has been sentenced to prison for ripping off taxpayers.

Calvert White, Bryan's former commissioner of the territory's parks and recreation department, was sentenced Friday to five years in federal prison after being convicted of honest services wire fraud and bribery involving federal funds. But here's the kicker - this is just the latest in a growing pattern of corruption surrounding the Democrat governor's administration.

Bryan has apparently built himself quite the little swamp in the Virgin Islands, surrounding himself with what can only be described as fraudsters and grafters who see public service as their personal piggy bank. Sound familiar? It's the same old Democrat playbook we've seen from coast to coast - use taxpayer dollars to enrich yourself and your buddies while regular Americans foot the bill.

The Democrat Corruption Pipeline

White's conviction should have Virgin Islands residents asking some serious questions: How does a parks commissioner end up committing federal fraud? What kind of oversight was Governor Bryan providing? And most importantly - how many more corrupt officials are still lurking in his administration?

The fact that this sentencing is being described as "relatively light" tells you everything you need about how deep this corruption runs. Five years for stealing federal funds? That's barely a slap on the wrist for betraying the public trust.

"This is unacceptable," said one observer of the sentencing, though you have to wonder if Bryan himself shares that sentiment.

While President Trump works tirelessly to drain the federal swamp and restore accountability to government, Democrat politicians like Bryan continue operating like it's business as usual - enriching their cronies while hardworking Americans struggle under the weight of an increasingly corrupt system.

Patriots in the Virgin Islands deserve better than a governor who can't seem to hire anyone without a criminal future. The question is: will Bryan finally clean house, or are there more corruption bombshells waiting to explode?

How much taxpayer money was stolen in total? The article mentions this crony but I'm wondering about the full scope of the corruption.

FINALLY some accountability! How many more cronies need to go down before the mainstream media starts covering this corruption?

Don't hold your breath - MSM will bury this story like they always do when it's a Democrat.

I've been following Virgin Islands politics for years and this governor's administration has been sketchy from day one. The writing was on the wall.

This reminds me of what we saw in Illinois with Blagojevich. Democrats seem to think public office is their personal ATM machine.

Don't even get me started on Illinois corruption - we could write a book!

Prison time is just the beginning - we need full asset forfeiture for anyone who stole taxpayer money!

This is exactly what happens when you have one-party rule for decades. No checks, no balances, just corruption feeding on itself.

When will the governor himself face charges? You can't tell me he didn't know what his cronies were doing with all that money.
