Ayshia "Ajay" Pittman, a Democrat from Oklahoma City, has pleaded guilty to three felony charges this week after orchestrating an elaborate check forgery scheme to avoid accountability for stealing campaign funds.
The disgraced lawmaker directed the creation of a forged check as part of a desperate attempt to cover up her misuse of more than $18,000 in campaign contributions that she brazenly spent on personal expenses. We're talking credit card payments, ATM withdrawals, and who knows what other personal luxuries funded by hardworking Oklahomans who thought they were supporting legitimate political activities.
The Corruption Runs Deep
This wasn't some innocent bookkeeping error, folks. Pittman's criminal behavior was uncovered during a comprehensive investigation by the Oklahoma Ethics Commission, which exposed a pattern of deliberate fraud and deception. When faced with scrutiny over her illegal spending, instead of coming clean, this Democrat doubled down and committed additional felonies by forging documents.
It's the same playbook we've seen from Democrats across the country - lie, cheat, steal, then lie some more when you get caught. They think the rules don't apply to them, that they can treat campaign donations like their personal piggy banks while lecturing the rest of us about "ethics" and "accountability."
"This case demonstrates that no one is above the law, regardless of their political position," said a spokesperson familiar with the investigation.
Pittman's resignation comes none too soon, but the real question is: how many other Democrats are running similar scams right under our noses? This is exactly why we need the kind of government accountability that President Trump and his administration are bringing to Washington.
While Trump works to drain the swamp at the federal level, it's clear we need the same house-cleaning in state capitals across America. How many more Ajay Pittmans are out there, stealing from patriots and covering it up with forged documents?
