A 26-year-old Maryland man has been arrested on attempted murder charges after allegedly plotting to assassinate a top Trump administration official — and actually showing up at his house dressed like he was ready to kill.
Colin Demarco of Rockville was arrested by Arlington County Police following a months-long investigation into his alleged plot to murder Russ Vought, Director of the Office of Management and Budget. The disturbed individual was reportedly driven to violence by his rage over Project 2025.

According to police reports, Demarco was spotted on August 10th lurking on Vought's porch wearing rubber gloves and a surgical mask. A witness saw the suspicious behavior and reported it to authorities. The investigation revealed Demarco had been planning the attack, allegedly stating: "I am at my wits' end and this might be the final straw. I want to get a gun, head to DC and kill him."
