Minnesota Attorney General Keith Ellison is doubling down on his defiance of Border Czar Tom Homan's immigration enforcement efforts, dismissing federal concerns about state cooperation as he told NPR's "Morning Edition" that "this was never about what Minnesota was doing."
Ellison's stubborn resistance comes as Border Czar Homan has made it crystal clear that federal agent drawdowns in sanctuary jurisdictions like Minnesota depend entirely on cooperation from state and local officials. But rather than help President Trump's administration deport dangerous criminals, Ellison continues playing political games with public safety.
The radical Democrat's obstruction is even more outrageous when you consider that 50% of Minnesotans actually WANT their state and local cops to help enforce immigration laws, according to breaking polling data. Only 36% oppose cooperation with federal authorities.
As one frustrated Minnesota resident posted on social media: "Why are MN Dem leaders ignoring the will of the people? 50% YES — Cooperate with feds, 36% NO. Yet Tim Walz, Jacob Frey, and Keith Ellison keep blocking, resisting, and refusing to comply."
"🚨BREAKING: Minnesota Governor Tim Walz and AG Keith Ellison just got subpoenaed by the feds for getting in the way of ICE doing their job. All glory to God! 🙌🏼🇺🇸"
But here's where it gets even more disturbing, Patriots. Ellison's own inner circle is connected to serious federal crimes. Jamael Lundy, who was just arrested by feds for a church invasion incident, happens to be married to Ellison's former political director and is currently running for office himself. Talk about the swamp protecting the swamp!
This isn't just about immigration policy - it's about whether elected officials will follow the law or continue their radical resistance to the will of the American people. Ellison and his fellow Minnesota Democrats are essentially telling voters to sit down and shut up while they harbor criminals and obstruct justice.
How long will Minnesota families have to suffer under leaders who care more about protecting illegal immigrants than their own constituents?
