DESPERATE: Raskin Claims SAVE Act Violates Women's Right to Vote in ABSURD Attack on Election Security

In what can only be described as peak desperation, Rep. Jamie Raskin (D-MD) appeared on CNN Thursday to make the absolutely ridiculous claim that the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act would violate the 19th Amendment and women's right to vote.

Let that sink in, Patriots. According to Raskin's twisted logic, requiring American citizens to prove they're actually citizens before voting somehow discriminates against women. This is the same unhinged Democrat who spent years pushing the Russia collusion hoax and trying to overturn the 2016 election results.

The SAVE Act, which has strong support from President Trump and congressional Republicans, simply requires documentary proof of U.S. citizenship when registering to vote in federal elections. You know, the same kind of proof you need to get a driver's license, open a bank account, or board an airplane. But somehow, ensuring only Americans vote in American elections is now an attack on women's suffrage?

Conservative Americans aren't buying Raskin's latest hysteria. As one Twitter user put it: "This is what desperation looks like. Commie @RepRaskin deathly afraid of securing elections."

Meanwhile, Raskin's supporters are doubling down on the fear-mongering. One activist claimed Raskin is warning that "the American social contract—our nonviolent constitutional pact—is under siege from authoritarianism, political violence, insurrectionism, state repression, & rising white supremacy." Translation: securing our elections is somehow fascist.

This absurd interpretation of the 19th Amendment shows just how far Democrats will twist the Constitution to protect their ability to harvest questionable ballots. The amendment guarantees women the right to vote—it says nothing about allowing non-citizens to vote or exempting anyone from proving their eligibility.

With President Trump back in office and Republicans controlling Congress, the SAVE Act has a real chance of becoming law. No wonder Raskin and his fellow Democrats are panicking. When you can't win fair and square, apparently the next best thing is to claim that election security itself is unconstitutional.

The question every American should be asking: If Democrats are this terrified of proving citizenship to vote, what exactly are they trying to hide?

How does requiring proof of citizenship violate anyone's right to vote? I had to show my ID when I registered and every time I vote. This is basic stuff!

I changed my name when I got married 15 years ago and had zero issues updating my voter registration. This whole argument is ridiculous - if you're a legal citizen, you can vote, period.

Can someone explain how this specifically targets women? I read the bill summary and it seems to apply equally to all voters regardless of gender.

Raskin is grasping at straws here! The SAVE Act is about preventing non-citizens from voting, not disenfranchising women. This is exactly the kind of gaslighting we've come to expect from the left.

Exactly right! They always twist common sense election security into some kind of discrimination issue.

ABSURD is right! Raskin knows this has nothing to do with women's rights and everything to do with election security.

This is pure desperation from Raskin and the Democrats. They know they can't win on policy, so they're manufacturing outrage over reasonable election security measures.

100% this. They oppose voter ID, signature verification, and now citizenship verification. Makes you wonder what they're really afraid of.
