Socialist Squad member Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez just handed conservatives another golden example of why the left can't be taken seriously. The New York Democrat attempted to rush to the defense of washed-up CNN anchor Don Lemon, but instead served up an embarrassing word salad that has become the laughingstock of social media.
In a cringe-worthy video post, AOC apparently told critics to "qualm your t*ts" while defending Lemon against what she claims is persecution by the Trump administration. The problem? That's not even close to being a real phrase, folks.
The internet had an absolute field day with Ocasio-Cortez's linguistic fumble. Social media users quickly pounced on the gaffe, with many referencing the classic line from "The Princess Bride": "You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means."
Twitter user @Jradams74 perfectly captured the mood, posting: "'You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means.' OMG, this is hilarious!" The tweet highlighted just how spectacularly AOC botched her attempted defense of the former CNN host.
Another user, @OwensCyn77601, took the opportunity to point out the broader implications of AOC's incompetence: "andddddddddddd this is what YOU have - the non majority - leading you..........better try hard to think about this - lol."
"This is your brain on socialism, people. AOC can't even string together a coherent insult, let alone craft meaningful policy."
The incident perfectly encapsulates everything wrong with today's radical left. Here's a sitting member of Congress who can't even get basic phrases right while trying to defend a disgraced media figure against an administration that's actually delivering results for the American people.
While President Trump and his team are busy securing our borders, cutting regulations, and putting America First, Democrats like AOC are stumbling over their own words in pathetic attempts to stay relevant. Is this really the best the left has to offer?
