President Donald Trump is ramping up pressure on Congress to finally pass the SAVE Act, declaring that requiring voter ID and proof of citizenship should be "common sense" rather than a political battleground.

In a new White House video released Friday, Trump made it crystal clear: America's elections must be secured, and the roadblocks Democrats have thrown up against basic election integrity measures need to end now.

"Common sense and securing our elections shouldn't be controversial. Pass the SAVE Act," Trump stated, cutting through the leftist hysteria that has surrounded every attempt to ensure only American citizens vote in American elections.

Democrats' War on Election Security Exposed

The SAVE Act - which stands for Safeguard American Voter Eligibility - would require proof of citizenship for voter registration and mandate photo ID at polling places. You know, the kind of basic security measures you need to buy alcohol, board a plane, or enter a federal building.

But somehow, asking people to prove they're American citizens before voting in American elections is "voter suppression" according to the radical left. The same Democrats who scream about "foreign interference" in our elections are the ones fighting tooth and nail against measures that would actually prevent it.

This isn't rocket science, folks. Every other civilized country requires voter ID, but in America, suggesting such common-sense measures gets you labeled a "threat to democracy" by the very people undermining our democratic processes.

Time for Action

With Republicans controlling both chambers of Congress, there's no excuse for delay. The American people delivered a mandate in 2024 for secure elections, and Trump is making sure that mandate gets fulfilled.

The SAVE Act represents everything patriots have been demanding: verification that voters are who they say they are, and confirmation that they're actually American citizens with the right to participate in our democracy.

While Democrats cry "racism" and "suppression," real Americans are asking a simple question: What exactly are they so afraid of? If their voters are legal citizens, why oppose proving it?

The time for games is over. Pass the SAVE Act and restore integrity to American elections once and for all.

I work at the polls every election and you wouldn't believe some of the sketchy stuff I've seen. Basic ID verification would solve most of these issues overnight.

ABSOLUTELY! 💯

Finally! I need an ID to buy groceries, get on a plane, and pick up my prescriptions - why shouldn't voting require the same basic verification?

Exactly right! The double standard is ridiculous.

Been saying this for years. We've had voter ID in Texas since 2013 and guess what? People still vote just fine. It's not suppression, it's common sense.

The fact that this is even controversial shows how far we've fallen. Protecting election integrity should be bipartisan.

Should be, but one party benefits from chaos unfortunately.

When did basic security become a partisan issue? Makes no sense.

What exactly are the Democrats afraid of if this passes? Seems like they're the ones making it controversial, not us.
