TRUMP REFUSES To Meet With Democrat Governors - Forces Bipartisan Association To CANCEL Annual Meeting

President Donald Trump has sent a clear message to Democrat governors across America: if you can't support his agenda, don't expect a seat at his table. The National Governors Association was forced to cancel its annual White House meeting after Trump's administration made it clear that only Republican governors would be invited this year.

Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt, who chairs the NGA, confirmed that the White House broke with decades of tradition by excluding Democrat governors from the invitation list. Rather than accommodate Trump's preference for working exclusively with Republican allies, the association chose to scrap the meeting altogether.

This bold move by the Trump administration signals a dramatic shift from the typical Washington kabuki theater where Republicans are expected to play nice with Democrats who spent four years undermining his first presidency and the subsequent years calling him a threat to democracy.

Why Should Trump Waste Time With His Enemies?

Let's be honest, Patriots - what exactly would Trump gain from sitting down with governors like California's Gavin Newsom or New York's Kathy Hochul? These are the same Democrat leaders who have spent years fighting his immigration policies, challenging his executive orders in court, and turning their states into sanctuary havens for illegal aliens.

While the NGA claims their "mission" requires bipartisan cooperation, Trump's mission is crystal clear: deliver on his America First agenda without the constant obstruction that defined his first term. Why should he give Democrat governors a platform to grandstand and leak to their friends in the mainstream media?

"Because NGA's mission requires bipartisan cooperation, we cannot fulfill our duties with a partisan approach," Governor Stitt explained in his statement.

The Trump administration's decision reflects a president who learned hard lessons about the futility of reaching across the aisle to people who view him as an existential threat. Instead of wasting precious time on performative bipartisanship, Trump is focusing his energy on working with Republican governors who actually support his vision for America.

This is what winning looks like, folks. Trump doesn't need the approval of Democrat governors to secure the border, cut regulations, or restore American energy dominance. He has the mandate, he has the power, and now he's using both strategically.

Good for Trump! Why should he waste time with governors who spent 4 years undermining everything he tried to accomplish? These Democrat governors showed their true colors during COVID lockdowns.

Exactly right Mike. Remember how they fought him on border security and then blamed him when things went wrong?

This is smart politics. Trump knows these meetings are just photo ops where Democrats grandstand for the cameras. Better to focus on working with Republican governors who actually want to get things done for America.

Does anyone know if this means he'll still meet with the Republican governors separately? Would love to see him work directly with DeSantis, Abbott, and the others who've been fighting the good fight.

I hope so! DeSantis has shown what real conservative leadership looks like down here.

Finally, a president who doesn't pretend to play nice with people who hate him and everything he stands for. The bipartisan charade is over!
