The Biden administration's border failures have reached a dangerous new level, as mysterious drone activity forced federal authorities to shut down airspace over El Paso, Texas, exposing America's shocking vulnerability to aerial threats along our southern border.

Representative Tony Gonzales (R-TX), whose district includes the affected area, delivered a stark warning to Breitbart Texas: "We're way behind in counter drone defenses" – a chilling admission that comes as President Trump works to secure the border that Joe Biden left wide open for four years.

The Tuesday evening airspace shutdown highlights yet another catastrophic failure of the previous administration's border policies. While Biden was busy welcoming millions of illegal aliens into our communities, critical defense infrastructure was left to decay.

"There is much work to be done to hone Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) defenses along the U.S.-Mexico border," Gonzales told Breitbart Texas, emphasizing he's working to remedy the situation through funding and education.

This isn't just about drones, Patriots – it's about national security. The same porous border that allowed fentanyl, human trafficking, and cartel operations to flourish under Biden is now potentially compromised by aerial surveillance and infiltration.

Trump Administration Moving to Fix Biden's Mess

Fortunately, we now have a president who actually cares about defending America. The Trump-Vance administration has made border security a top priority, with mass deportations already underway and border wall construction resuming.

But the El Paso incident proves just how much damage four years of "America Last" policies inflicted on our national defense capabilities. From Afghanistan to our own border, Biden left America weaker and more vulnerable.

Representative Gonzales deserves credit for sounding the alarm and working with the Trump administration to address these critical gaps. Meanwhile, where are the Democrats? Still probably complaining about deportations instead of protecting American citizens.

How many more wake-up calls do we need before every American understands that border security IS national security? The question isn't whether these drone threats will escalate – it's whether we'll fix Biden's failures before it's too late.

Does anyone know how long the El Paso airspace has been shut down? This seems like a major security incident that's not getting enough media coverage.

This is exactly why we need to secure our borders NOW. When commercial airspace has to shut down because of illegal drone activity, we've lost control of our own country.

I worked Border Patrol for 15 years and we started seeing drone activity increase dramatically around 2018. These aren't hobby drones - they're carrying serious payloads and flying coordinated missions. Glad this Rep is finally bringing attention to the threat.

I live here and can confirm - saw multiple helicopters circling yesterday and wondered what was going on. Makes sense now.

Finally someone is speaking up about this! The cartels have been using drones for smuggling operations for years and our government has been turning a blind eye.

Exactly right. I've been saying this for months - the technology is getting more sophisticated and we're always playing catch up.
