Democrat Senator Elissa Slotkin of Michigan launched a condescending attack on House Speaker Mike Johnson, mockingly calling him a "good boy" for President Trump after the Louisiana Republican called for obstruction charges against six congressional Democrats.
Slotkin's arrogant dismissal came Wednesday after Johnson argued that she and five other Democrats should face legal consequences for their obstructionist tactics. Instead of addressing the substance of Johnson's concerns, Slotkin chose to belittle the Speaker with patronizing language.
"The speaker of the House should take a beat and remember why he's there, and that our founding fathers designed" the system with checks and balances, Slotkin lectured, apparently forgetting that congressional oversight works both ways.
"Take a beat"? This from a freshman senator who spent years as a Deep State CIA operative before worming her way into Congress.
Slotkin's "good boy" comment reveals the Democrats' fundamental disrespect for both the constitutional process and basic civility. Rather than engage with Johnson's serious allegations, she resorted to schoolyard taunts that would make a middle school bully blush.
Democrats' Double Standard on Full Display
The Michigan Democrat's reaction perfectly encapsulates the left's hypocrisy. For four years under Biden, Democrats weaponized every government agency against Trump and his supporters. But now that Republicans control Congress and are demanding accountability, suddenly they're concerned about "separation of powers."
Johnson's call for obstruction charges isn't political theater – it's about holding Democrats accountable for years of abuse. While Trump was in exile, these same Democrats cheered as the DOJ prosecuted conservatives and ignored actual crimes committed by their allies.
Slotkin's condescending attitude toward Johnson exposes what Democrats really think about constitutional governance. To them, Republicans should sit quietly in the corner like "good boys" while Democrats dismantle American institutions.
Patriots should remember Slotkin's disrespectful behavior. This is how Democrats treat elected Republicans – and by extension, the millions of Americans who voted for them. Will Michigan voters tolerate this arrogance from their senator?
