The directive makes clear that only U.S. flags and other authorized flags can be displayed at federal sites - a common-sense policy that puts America First instead of pandering to radical LGBTQ+ activists who have spent years pushing their agenda into every corner of government.
Predictably, the left is having an absolute meltdown over this return to normalcy. New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani - a radical progressive who's never met a woke cause he wouldn't embrace - took to social media to express his outrage at the Trump administration's decision.
"New York is the birthplace of the modern LGBTQ+ rights movement, and no act of erasure will ever change, or silence, that history," Mamdani whined in his post, apparently unaware that removing inappropriate flag displays isn't "erasing history."
This is exactly the kind of decisive action Patriots elected Trump to take in his second term. For too long, federal properties have been hijacked by activists pushing divisive identity politics instead of celebrating what unites us as Americans - our flag and our Constitution.
The Stonewall monument commemorates what leftists celebrate as a "riot by gay males against police" in the 1960s. While the site has historical significance, that doesn't mean federal property should be used as a billboard for modern political movements that seek to divide Americans by race, gender, and sexual orientation.
Trump's flag policy represents a return to the principles that built this nation - unity under one flag, not fragmentation under dozens of identity-based banners. Every American taxpayer funds these federal sites, and they should reflect our shared heritage as Americans, not the narrow political agendas of activist groups.
