President Trump's Religious Liberty Commission just got a much-needed house cleaning after Texas Lieutenant Governor Dan Patrick, who chairs the commission, booted a member for going on an unhinged anti-Zionist rant during what was supposed to be a hearing focused on combating antisemitism in America.

Patrick announced the removal on X Wednesday, making it crystal clear that the Trump administration won't tolerate the kind of Jew-hatred that has been festering in certain corners of both the far-left and unfortunately, some fringe elements claiming to be on the right.

The unnamed commission member apparently thought a hearing about protecting Jewish Americans from rising antisemitism was the perfect venue to launch into her own antisemitic talking points about "Zionism." Talk about reading the room wrong – or maybe she read it perfectly and just decided to show her true colors.

Zero Tolerance for Antisemitism

This swift action by Patrick sends exactly the right message: there's no place in the Trump administration for the kind of antisemitic garbage that's been poisoning college campuses and creeping into mainstream political discourse. While Democrats have spent years coddling squad members who traffic in anti-Israel rhetoric, Trump's team is taking decisive action.

"We will not tolerate antisemitism in any form," Patrick's announcement made clear, drawing a bright line that should have never needed to be drawn in the first place.

The Religious Liberty Commission was established to protect the constitutional rights of all Americans to practice their faith freely – not to provide a platform for bigotry disguised as political commentary.

It's telling that while the Biden administration spent four years turning a blind eye to rising antisemitism on college campuses and in Democratic ranks, Trump's Religious Liberty Commission is policing its own ranks and maintaining standards.

Cleaning House

This incident perfectly illustrates why elections have consequences. Under Trump's leadership, there's accountability and swift action when someone steps out of line. No lengthy investigations, no committee hearings, no hand-wringing – just immediate consequences for unacceptable behavior.

Patriots should be asking: how many other government commissions and agencies need similar house cleaning to root out the antisemites and America-haters who somehow wormed their way into positions of influence?

As someone who's dealt with antisemitism in my own community, I appreciate leaders who take swift action against this poison. Religious liberty means protecting ALL faiths, not targeting specific groups.

Finally, decisive leadership! No hesitation, no excuses - just immediate action when someone crosses the line.

This is why vetting is so important. How did someone with these views even get appointed to a religious liberty commission in the first place? We need better background checks for these positions.

Sometimes people hide their true colors until they get comfortable. At least the system worked and they were removed quickly.

Good! There's absolutely no place for antisemitism in any government position. Trump made the right call booting this person immediately.

Exactly. Zero tolerance for this kind of hate speech, especially from someone in a position of trust.

I'm curious what exactly was said in this 'rant' - the article mentions it was shocking but doesn't give specifics. Anyone have more details on what triggered the removal?
