The 2026 Winter Olympics are approaching, and once again we're forced to confront a disturbing reality: some American athletes seem more interested in trashing their own country than representing it with pride. These anti-American Olympians don't deserve our cheers – they deserve our contempt.
For too long, we've been told we must blindly support any athlete wearing Team USA colors, even when they spend their platform spitting on the very nation that gave them the opportunity to compete on the world's biggest stage. That's not patriotism – that's enabling cultural vandalism.
Remember the disgraceful displays we've witnessed in recent Olympics? Athletes turning their backs during the national anthem, refusing to place their hands over their hearts, or using medal ceremonies to lecture Americans about how supposedly terrible our country is. These privileged athletes bite the hand that feeds them while representing us to the world.
True Patriots Stand for America First
Under President Trump's leadership, we're seeing a renewed emphasis on American excellence and pride. The Trump-Vance administration has made it clear that representing America is an honor, not a burden. Those who can't handle that responsibility should step aside for athletes who actually love this country.
"When you put on that Team USA uniform, you're not just representing yourself – you're representing every American who believes in the greatness of this nation," one veteran Olympic coach told us.
The left-wing media will shriek about "supporting our athletes no matter what," but that's backwards thinking. Support should be earned through respect for the country, not automatically granted because someone can skate fast or ski well.
Real patriotism means holding people accountable when they disgrace the flag. It means celebrating athletes who compete with pride in their homeland, and yes, it means rooting against those who use their platform to spread anti-American poison.
Americans deserve Olympic representatives who love this country as much as we do. Until these ungrateful athletes learn that lesson, they've earned every bit of criticism coming their way. Why should we cheer for people who clearly despise us?
