Oklahoma Governor Kevin Stitt just threw Vice President JD Vance under the bus in what can only be described as a calculated backstab of President Trump's chosen political heir.

Speaking at the Politico Governors Summit in Washington D.C. on Thursday, Stitt made it crystal clear he doesn't want Vance anywhere near the 2028 Republican nomination – despite Vance being the obvious MAGA movement successor after serving loyally as Trump's VP.

"I would like to see the Republican Party nominate an experienced governor for president in 2028," Stitt declared, in what amounts to a direct slap in the face to the Vice President who has been faithfully executing Trump's America First agenda.

Establishment GOP Games Begin

This is exactly the kind of establishment Republican maneuvering that Patriots are sick and tired of. Here we have Trump barely into his second year of his second term, successfully implementing the MAGA agenda with Vance as his trusted partner, and already the ambitious governors are circling like vultures.

Stitt's comments represent a stunning display of disloyalty to the Trump-Vance partnership that delivered decisive victory in 2024. Instead of supporting the natural succession of Trump's movement, Stitt is apparently more interested in advancing his own gubernatorial class.

The timing couldn't be worse. As the Trump administration works tirelessly to secure our border, drain the swamp, and restore American greatness, we have supposed allies like Stitt already plotting their 2028 ambitions at the expense of movement unity.

"This reeks of the same establishment Republican games that tried to sabotage Trump in 2016 and 2024. Now they're coming for Vance before he can carry the torch forward."

What's particularly galling is that Vance has proven himself as a true America First warrior – from his military service to his bestselling book exposing the forgotten Americans, to his unwavering support of Trump's agenda as Vice President.

MAGA Movement Under Attack

Make no mistake: this isn't just about 2028 politics. This is about whether the MAGA movement will be allowed to continue, or whether ambitious politicians will fracture it for their own personal gain.

Patriots didn't fight this hard to restore Trump to power just to watch Republican governors play establishment games and undermine his chosen successor. The question is: will other GOP governors follow Stitt's lead in this betrayal, or will they stand with the movement that actually wins elections?

Stitt's playing politics when he should be supporting the team. Disappointing!

Honestly, I see both sides. Governors do have better executive experience than legislators. But the timing and public nature of this makes Stitt look petty.

I'm confused - isn't Vance exactly the kind of outsider we want? He wasn't a career politician before the Senate. This seems like Stitt protecting his own 2028 ambitions more than principle.

EXACTLY! Stitt is being a total backstabber here. Vance has been loyal to the movement and this is how he gets repaid?

It's not about Oklahoma specifically - it's about not eating our own!

Loyalty works both ways though. What has Vance done for Oklahoma?

Stitt is absolutely wrong here! VP Vance has proven himself and earned his stripes. This kind of gatekeeping is exactly what's wrong with the establishment.

Disagree - governors have executive experience that senators and VPs just don't have. Stitt's got a point.
